Info : Sinni served as Prasadam after Satyanarayan and Shani Puja in Bengal. After Satyanarayan Puja Sinni may be consumed indoor or outdoor but after Shani Puja Sinni may be consumed outdoor only. It is believed Shani Puja Prasadam taken into home means inviting negative energy into home. Hindus believe Shani is harmful for human being and for entire Universe also. Hindus fear to say the name also. That is why Shani Puja never organised at home. Shani Puja organised only on Saturday. Shani represent the Planet Saturn. Shani is the son of lord Surya (The Sun) and his mother is Chaya Devi (The Shadow).

Ingredients : Milk, Flour, Rice Flour, Banana, Coconut, Raisin, Cashew, Fruits, Jaggery (sugar cane), Batasha, Cardamom, Korpur, Ghee, Curd (sweet).

Recipe at a Glance : Smash raisin, cashew, fruits, cardamom ⇒ knead banana, jaggery ⇒ grate coconut ⇒ mix milk, flour, rice flour, batasha, korpur, ghee, curd ⇒ add all ingredients together and mix well.
