Paneer Masala from Punjab, India | Best Indian Food Blog | Cottage Cheese recipe

Location: Punjab.

Preference: Veg.

Ingredients: Ginger, Garlic, Onion, Green Chilli, Tomato, Paneer (Cottage Cheese), Turmeric Powder, Red Chilli Powder, Salt, Sunflower Oil, Ghee, Cardamom, Cinnamon, Clove, Cumin, Coriander Powder, Cumin Powder, Yogurt, Garam Masala, Water, Kasuri Methi.

Recipe at a Glance:

Step 1: Make a paste of ginger and garlic.

Step 2: Chop onion, split green chilli, chop tomato, cube paneer.

Step 3: Marinate paneer cubes with turmeric powder, red chilli powder and salt.

Step 4: Fry marinated paneer in sunflower oil and keep aside.

Step 5: Add ghee into sunflower oil just for fragrance.

Step 6: Add cardamom, cinnamon, clove, chopped onion, turn and fry.

Step 7: Add cumin, turn and fry.

Step 8: Add paste, turn and fry.

Step 9: Add chopped tomato, turn and fry.

Step 10: Add salt, turmeric powder, turn and fry.

Step 11: Add coriander powder, red chilli powder, cumin powder, turn and fry.

Step 12: Add yogurt, turn and fry.

Step 13: Add split green chilli, garam masala, fried paneer, turn and fry.

Step 14: Add water, turn and cook.

Step 15: Add kasuri methi (Dried Fenugreek Leaves), turn and cook. Video Help

While we were travelling by the road in a place of Punjab and we took a break there after a long drive at a Dhaba, Dhaba is the Indian style Motel at the side of expressway, They served Chana Masala with Roti, Mixed Pickle, Green Chilli, Lime and raw onion. Really I can’t forget this food till now after 11 years.💖👌👍😍
